Guest Blog Post Writing

guest blog posts

If you run a website or blog, then it is likely you are trying to get as much relevant traffic to your site as possible. If this is the case, then there is a strategy you can use that will surely help increase traffic to your website in more than one way.

One of the most common marketing approaches used to increase rankings and hence, traffic, is to allow guest writers to write blog posts that you publish on your website. There are several benefits to doing so, including allowing your visitors to read a variety of content that is written from different perspectives, approaches, and styles.

Secondly, the search engines view favorably a diversity in the number of writers that provide content for your blog. In addition, this approach is also beneficial in that search engines also execute author ranking algorithms that factor into the overall ranking for the page as well.

What is a Guest Blog Post?

A guest blog post is fairly straight forward. An example would be if you wanted to write a blog post on another persons blog or website. You would write an article that is relevant to your website (and the other webmasters site as well of course).

You would need to provide the blog with a high quality, unique blog post. There needs to be value for the readers, and the webmaster that you are trying to venture with. In exchange for your original article, you will be able to keep a link back to your website within the guest blog post that you wrote.

Why Write Guest Blog Posts?

The answer is simple. There are high traffic websites all over the Internet, that are relevant to your website. Many of the people that run these websites will be happy to allow you to write a guest post. In exchange for your guest post, you get links.

That means you will get traffic from those links (the people that read that article), and you will boost your search engine rankings. Not only that, but you will be able to become known in the blogging world, and start to network with other readers. Hopefully those same readers will become your readers on your website.

How to Write a Guest Post

The important part is that you are providing value. You should keep the blog post short and to the point, however it still needs to be long enough to provide the value we are talking about. You will likely target blogs that are related to your topic, however not the same. It is not likely that your competition will want to help you. That is why you should go after those who are not directly competing with you.

We wrote a guest blog post for our friends over at seorabbit.com. They run an SEO site that specializes in providing information on Search Engine Optimization. They also do a lot of SEO consulting as well.

This was a perfect site for us to write a guest blog post. They are running a site that is very relevant to our website, contentcustoms.com. Our content writing services for the web go hand-in-hand with the service that seorabbit.com provides.
