According to a new post on Twitter’s blog, your Twitter stream may soon start looking a lot more like your Facebook news feed. The popular social media platform announced yesterday that they will be debuting a new ad service known as Promoted Video, which will allow brands, publishers and some verified users to share video ads directly on Twitter’s platform.
A serious Wordpress security vulnerability has been found by Nir Goldshlager, a member of the security team at Salesforce.com. The vulnerability leaves sites open to a DoS attack involving XML documents, similarly to a billion laughs attack or an XML bomb. Drupal sites could also fall victim to this attack.
Google recently tweaked it’s algorithm in an attempt to provide users with more relevant and useful information during local searches. The change, dubbed the “Pigeon Update” by the experts over at Search Engine Land, has reportedly caused local search to function more like typical web search through the use of similar ranking signals.
Back in May, the Court of Justice of the European Union backed the concept of the “right to be forgotten.” The ruling meant that Google is now responsible for deleting links to data that’s considered “inadequate, irrelevant or no longer relevant” whenever a member of the public requests it to be done.
